Visonic

Visonic Powermax

When you’re setting up your Visonic alarm system, you pay close attention to details. If you’re installing a wireless Visonic system, you can use your floor plan to be sure that everything is located within the range of the system console. In a hard-wired system, the floor plan will help you figure out how much wiring you’ll need to connect all the components. You need to use the plan to lay out all the system components, including the control panel. The control panel will operate the rest of your system. Your control panel will have a terminal strip to which you hook up the other components. Your keypad or touch pad should be used to arm and disarm your system. Your keypad sometimes has a panic alarm code.

In addition, your motion sensor should be used to detect motion within the sensor’s range. Your door and window sensors will be used to detect when a window or door is opened. Your glass-break sensors are used to detect when glass is broken, and your smoke and fire sensors are used to detect when heat and smoke are in your home. Other parts of your Visonic alarm system include the telephone dialer or security service, which is used to summon help, and the siren and strobe, which are tools used to attract attention to your home.

When you start setting up your Visonic alarm system you should remember that each zone in your home setup is like a separate alarm system. All your zones are connected to the same control panel, but you’ll tell your control panel which zones are to be activated. The zones let you customize the system’s protection to match the way you are using your home. The number of independent zones you have is limited only by the capacity of the system’s control panel. As you’re installing your system, you’ll need to make certain that you’re following your plan’s layout for the locations and the zone affiliation for each component.

Visonic Voice Dialer

A lot of people put Visonic motion sensors on their own zone, and all components for each level of your home on separate zones. You should lay out your zones based on the way you plan to use your home, and then follow your layout in placing and connecting each component. When you buy your Visonic home security system, you should read the directions carefully and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
