Acoustic Sensors
Acoustic Sensor
Adding an acoustic sensor to your car can provide a great deal of protection to one of your prized possessions. Auto-theft prevention devices are needed to keep your car protected from theft or burglary. These devices range in complexity from a simple steer-ing wheel lock to a steering-wheel-to-pedal locking device and can cost between $20 and $50.
An acoustic sensor is becoming much more sophisticated these days as car thieves get better at overcoming them. But for about $15, you can buy an acoustic sensor alarm that fits into your cassette tape player and that can be deactivated only with a key. If anyone breaks into your car, an incredibly loud acoustic sensor is activated. Some car alarms also have a feature that disables the car by interrupting either power or the gasoline flow. You can find one of these systems for about $75.
Acoustic Wave Sensors
You can buy an acoustic sensor for your car for an installation fee, a per-month satellite fee, and additional charges that are based on the numbers of commands. You can have your car tracked by satellite using Global Positioning Systems. This isn’t a cheap solution, but if you’re really wanting to track down your car or disable the engine, if someone tries to take it, you can do it with a satellite track and command system.
Adding an acoustic sensor to your car can be a great way to keep criminals away from your car. When you have an acoustic sensor armed on your car and when someone enters your car in any way, a loud alarm will sound alerting everyone around. This often is enough deterrent to keep criminals away. But this doesn’t keep the crime from happening, as your car is already broken into by the time the alarm goes off. You can also buy an acoustic sensor that is armed with satellites to alert officials when someone breaks into your car. When this type of acoustic sensor is armed in your car and someone breaks in, a loud alarm will sound and authorities will be alerted that a crime has been committed.
Acoustic Vector Sensor
An acoustic sensor can cost as little as $20 and as much as thousands of dollars, depending on which type of acoustic sensor you buy. It all depends on how greatly you want to protect your car and keep track of your car when it is broken into.
