You can have your car tracked by satellite using Global Positioning Systems. This isn’t a cheap solution, but if you’re really wanting to track down your car or disable the engine, if someone tries to take it, you can do it with a satellite track and command system.

When you have an acoustic sensor armed on your car and when someone enters your car in any way, a loud alarm will sound alerting everyone around. This often is enough deterrent to keep criminals away. But this doesn’t keep the crime from happening, as your car is already broken into by the time the alarm goes off. You can also buy an acoustic sensor that is armed with satellites to alert officials when someone breaks into your car. When this type of acoustic sensor is armed in your car and someone breaks in, a loud alarm will sound and authorities will be alerted that a crime has been committed.

An acoustic sensor can cost as little as $20 and as much as thousands of dollars, depending on which type of acoustic sensor you buy. It all depends on how greatly you want to protect your car and keep track of your car when it is broken into.
